Baby Unit (0-1 yrs)
Choosing day care for your baby is a very important decision. Here at Breaston Manor we welcome your baby into a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where they have opportunities to play and have fun with our large selection of baby toys and soft play shapes.
There is a separate quiet room where they can sleep in peace. Janice Millard, the Baby Unit Supervisor, will be happy to discuss your baby’s routine before they start Nursery.
(1-2 yrs)
Helen Neal and Liz Rogers both Nursery Nurses create a happy, secure foundation from where little ones can develop their own personalities. Here they can experiment with sand, water and paints, under supervision, as well as simple puzzles, shape sorters and blocks.
Blue Room (2-3 yrs)
In this room our aim is to provide a stimulating environment where the young can play while enjoying singing, stories and finger rhymes.
The children are introduced to potty training which is a major milestone.
Mandy Ball, Claire White and Claire Birch are always there for advice and support, and lots of positive encouragement.
Pre-School (3-5 yrs)
Here the children develop through participation in activities such as arts and crafts, music, reading simple work sheets and educational outings. We positively encourage the children to develop their skills at their own rate whilst gaining enjoyment from doing so.
Eileen Cooper, Maria Hodson and David Macnish take care of our 3 year olds, developing the skills necessary for entry into primary school. They have a packed curriculum each term to include reading, writing, music, drama, physical activities and mathematical skills.
Every Thursday morning the children participate in French classes with Sylvie who has been with us for 10 years.
Indoor Soft Play
We have a small area which the children use through out their daily routine which is also a good place to let off steam during the bad weather.
Sensory Garden
A wonderful place of peace and tranquillity where the children can discover and explore their five senses.
The garden includes heavily scented plants, water feature and wind chimes. This creates a tranquil place for the children to relax and enjoy.
